A.M. Mamonov, S.S. Slezov, E.O. Agarkova, A.P. Neiman, O.A. Polyakov
Effect of alloying with hydrogen, and hot plastic deformation and vacuum annealing modes on structure, crystallographic texture and hardness of a pilot high-modulus Ti-8.7Al-1.5Zr-2.0Mo titanium alloy is studied. It is stated that alloying with 0.3 and 0.6 wt.% of hydrogen and following upsetting and low-temperature vacuum annealing result in formation in the samples of (α+β) bimodal type structure with various fractions of fine-dispersed secondary α-phase which provide maximum hardness. It is shown that in textured state of the samples texture fraction of β→α transformation grows upon increase of hydrogen content and deformation temperature.

Phase transformation in powders of alloy VT22
S.V. Zhidovinova, L.Yu. Udoeva, B.R. Gelchinsky, A.V. Larionov
The results of studies of phase transformations occurring in the VT22 alloy during the plasma atomizing and subsequent mechanical grinding of powders are presented. It is established that a powder of sputtered alloy has a single-phase structure of the β-Ti (Al) solid solution. In course of time at room temperature, there is the formation of atomic groupings enriched with alloying elements - zone aging. The grinding of the atomized powder causes phase aging initiating the β→α transformation with increase the α-phase fraction depending on the duration of the process symbatically.

Coefficient of dynamic viscosity of metals and titanium alloys
S.V. Serikov
An attempt was made, in the light of modern advances in solid mechanics and fracture mechanics, to methodologically describe in a new fashion the operational characteristics of metals and titanium alloys. In particular, it is stated that real metals can not be separately considered without such physically justified parameters as the coefficient of dynamic viscosity and the specific energy of dynamic destruction (patent of the Russian Federation No. 2543673, 2015).
Keywords: titanium alloy, viscous plastic medium, strength limit, coefficient of dynamic viscosity, elongation, fracture energy, fracture strength, deformation rate.

The experience of using titanium alloys in nuclear power engineering and shipbuilding is considered. The positive effect of using titanium alloys as the main material for the construction of Nuclear power plant equipment was demonstrated. The results of the work of the NRC "Kurchatov Institute" – CRISM "Prometey" and factories - manufacturers of pipes of titanium alloys, including large diameter, for the needs of shipbuilding in the territory of the Russian Federation.
Keywords: titanium alloys, production, cold-deformed pipes, hot-deformed pipes, construction of Nuclear power plant.

The development of the titanium industry in russia as one of the technological factors for ensuring national security
M.Y. Mastushkin, Y.N. Kusakina, L.V. Fedorova
The paper considers the influence of the development of the titanium industry on ensuring national security. Taking into account various aspects of the use of titanium and its alloys, the components of the technological factor for ensuring national security have been identified. The analysis of key strategic planning documents have been done at the national level, these documents determine the prospects for the development of the titanium industry and represent technological factors of ensuring national security. We concluded about the need for the state to participate in the creation of growth points in the titanium industry, using administrative, legal, economic and information mechanisms implementing of state policy.
