M. Trubachev, A. Rylov, V. Chumarev, A. Larionov
Test results of the out-of-furnace metallothermic and vacuum-induction processes of the Al-Zr-Mo-Snmasteralloy smelting as well as the study of its composition and properties are presented in the paper. The data ofmixture compositions, its out-of-furnace and vacuum-induction smelting modes and results are given. The possibility ofthe Al-Zr-Mo master alloy productionwaste utilization as a major burden materialunder the Al-Zr-Mo-Sn alloy vacuum-induction smelting has been demonstrated. It was determined that the proven methods of smelting did not essentiallyaffect the phase composition and the structure of the Al-Zr-Mo-Snmasteralloy. The produced master alloy ingots are homogeneous in chemical and phase compositions. A density and a liquidus temperature of these alloys are acceptable for materials intended for use in titanium alloys manufacture.

A. Oryschenko, V. Leonov, I. Sсhastlivaya
Key role of taking into account alloying and doping elements in the composition of titanium alloys which influence on effects of nuclear transmutation, activation and induced activity decay as well as on radiation stability under high-dose irradiation in WWER is shown. Obtained research results are used for composition formation of titanium alloys for long-life small NPPs.

M. Khaznaferov, A. Ovchinnikov, T. Ianko
Advantages of additive technologies have been considered It is shown that the main constraining factor of the industrial scale implementation of additive technologies is the high cost of production, which depends on the quality of source raw materials.
Schematic flowsheet of producing of titanium powders with the alloying system Ti-6Al-4V and specified fractional composition for AM-technology, made of alloying sponge titanium by means of the hydride-dehydride (HDH) process has been presented.

Effect of electrical discharge machining parameters on quality production of titanium dental crowns
T. Ablyaz, N. Ogleznev
The purpose was to study the effect of modes EDM process of manufacturing titanium dental crowns. It is shown how the electrode-based tool that provides manufacturing precision parts. The effect of processing conditions on the changes in the structure and chemical composition of the surface layer of titanium when it is processed at the key-piercing EDM Electronica Eco Cut. Modes of EDM which provides the highest accuracy at a minimum roughness of the treated surface.

In this work the analysis of medical articles market in Russian Federation has been carried out, a part of the market for implants from titanium alloys is pointed out as well. Advantages and drawbacks of titanium alloys as materials for implants are shown. There have been stated the general problems which hold back expansion of the alloys application for production of implanted medical articles. Examples of solving such problems by innovation technologies are given. The prospects for wider use of titanium in medicine are specified.
