The effect of nickel content and impurities on the structure and temperature of the shape memory effect of titanium nickelide base alloys
M.Yu. Kollerov, D.E. Gusev, A.A. Chernyshova, S.I. Gurtovoy, R.E. Vinogradov
The influence of the charge material quality and the method of smelting on the structure and shape recovery temperature in titanium nickelide base alloys is considered. It is shown that the shape recovery temperature of the samples in the quenched state linearly correlates with nickel content in the B2 phase determined by the alloy composition and the volume fraction of Ti2Ni (Ti4Ni2O) particles. It is stated that the volume fraction of Ti3Ni4 particles precipitated during aging of the alloy and determining the possibility of dispersion hardening of the material can be calculated by the change in shape recovery temperatures. The corresponding regression equations are given.

Structure and texture formation in Ti-6Al-4V samples, obtained by additive manufacturing
S.V. Skvortsova, M.A. German, I.A. Grushin, V.S. Spektor
The paper presents the results of structure and texture formation study in Ti-6Al-4V alloy samples, obtained by Direct Metal Deposition technology of additive manufacturing. The effect of annealing on the formation of the structure and texture in 3D-samples was investigated. It is shown that the samples have a two-phase structure of “basket weaving” in the initial state and after annealing. It is established that the samples have significant anisotropy of properties in two mutually perpendicular directions that could be explained by the presence of the crystallographic texture.

S.V. Serikov, V.V. Savin
In the light of modern advances in solid mechanics and fracture mechanics, a methodologically new method for assessing the operational reliability of metals and titanium alloys is presented. Examples of the efficiency of the method are given using well-known basic research on the technological conversion of specific products from titanium alloys VT18U, T-110, PT3V.

A new method of obtaining rutilius embryos and their application in titanium dioxide technology
L.G. Gerasimova, E.S. Shchukina, A.I. Nikolaev, M.V. Maslova, Yu.G. Kiselev
New information on the modernization of traditional sulfuric acid technology of titanium dioxide for various purposes, which was developed more than 100 years ago, rarely appears on the pages of the periodical press. Meanwhile, modern technological methods make a significant contribution to the improvement of many operations that will help solve existing environmental problems without compromising the quality of final products. The authors have developed a new method for the synthesis of rutile embryos, based on solid-phase reactions carried out under mechanical activation, which significantly simplifies the process, reducing its reagent intensity and, accordingly, eliminating harmful discharges to the environment.

Effect of thermohydrogen processing, plastic deformation and vacuum ion-plasma nitriding on phase composition, texture and hardness of titanium alloy with intermetallic hardening
A.M. Mamonov, S.S. Slezov, E.O. Agarkova, A.P. Neiman, S.M. Sarychev, A.V. Neiman
The effect of thermohydrogen processing and plastic deformation on the crystallographic texture of the Ti-8.7Al-2.0Mo-1.5Zr titanium alloy is investigated. It is shown that the β↔α transformations under reversible alloying with hydrogen have a significant effect on the change in the type and parameters of the texture during hot plastic deformation. The influence of low-temperature vacuum ion-plasma nitriding on the structure and hardness of the alloy is investigated. It is stated that the structure with a finely dispersed secondary α-phase formed in the alloy under thermohydrogen processing ensures maximum microhardness and depth of the hardened layer during nitriding.

The effect of heat treatment parameters on microstructure and mechanical properties of cold drawn titanium wire from VT6 and VT16 alloys has been studied. The influence of wire surface quality on mechanical properties has also been evaluated. The research on homogeneity of structure constituents distribution along wire section after thermal hardening has been provided. Phase composition and structure of high-temperature gas-extruded (HTGE) VT14 wire have been analyzed in comparison to those of conventionally processed VT16 wire.

T.V. Pavlova, O.S. Kashapov, V.S. Kalashnikov, S.A. Naprienko
The paper considers the experimental results obtained in the study of aviation purposes and jet engines disks industrial die forgings made of ВТ6 alloy on hammers and presses. The main attention is paid to the influence of manufacturing technology and heat treatment on the microstructure and strength characteristics and high cycle fatigue. A comparative evaluation of the ВТ6 alloy with foreign analog – Ti6-4 alloy was made. The results of all tests for high cycle fatigue conducted on identical samples under the same test conditions allowed to establish the characteristics of the fatigue of industrial forgings from the ВТ6 alloy. It is making possible to give practical recommendations for the choice of the of heat treatment is applied to the blisks of the jet engine compressor to ensure a guaranteed limit of the fatigue of a large forgings at the level of the material of the blades forging, having a more dispersed structure, smaller mass and thickness of the section.
